Agency Of Economic Development Of Sevastopol, Ukraine

Agency of Economic Development of Sevastopol (AEDS), established in 1997 by Sevastopol City Council and Sevastopol City State Administration, is a municipal enterprise of Sevastopol City Council, which contributes into sustainable development of Sevastopol territorial-economic complex and business entities.

Main activities:

  • Elaboration of programs and projects concerning the development of the city, attracting investments;
  • Managing of investment projects;
  • Contribution into implementation of innovations into business entities;
  • Cooperation with core organizations in Ukraine and abroad;
  • Organization of exhibitions, conferences, workshops and seminars; 
  • Consulting services in economic, management and land spheres;
  • Carrying out the land tenders, evaluation of material and immaterial goods.

The Agency so far has organized more than 150 exhibitions, conferences and round tables in Sevastopol and abroad. The emphasis is put on the support of small and medium enterprises in following sectors:

  • Ecology, sustainable development and tourism;
  • Energy saving and energy efficiency;
  • Promotion of local business entities to the foreign markets;
  • Innovations in science, engineering and housing and public utilities.

Agency of Economic Development of Sevastopol is a part of a “one-stop shop” system in work with investors in Sevastopol. With this regards starting from 2011 International Sevastopol Investment Forum is organized by AEDS.

The concept of the forum is to create an annual international platform for dialogue between representatives of government and business will contribute improving of investment climate, economic development and competitiveness of the region. The main purpose of the forum is to present the opportunities of the Sevastopol region demonstrate the largest investment projects and discuss conditions and prospects for foreign companies in the city. The main sectors of discussions are:

  • Energetics;
  • Tourism. Recreation. Real estate;
  • Municipal solid waste: European Technologies in Ukraine;
  • Public-private partnership;
  • Transport, port, logistics and infrastructure projects.
